All persons intending to attend the Congress must complete an online Registration Form.
The 2026 Social Work Congress is an in-person event only. No online/hybrid registrations are available.
Please read the registration information below before you complete the Registration Form. Should you experience any difficulties please contact the Organisers at info.congress@aasw.asn.au.
Group Registrations
A 10% discount on registrations is available for groups of 10 or more delegates.
Registration fees
All fees are quoted in Australian dollars ($AUD) and are inclusive of 10% GST (Goods and Services Tax).

Your completed registration and successful payment will be acknowledged via email. Your registration will only be processed if payment has been received.
All registrations require immediate payment by credit card. Accepted credit cards are MasterCard, Visa and American Express. If you wish to register for a group or require to pay by invoice, please contact the organisers.
Cancellations must be notified in writing (e-mail is sufficient) to the Congress Organisers. Cancellations made by 19 September 2026 will result in a full refund less $150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by ** 4 November 2026** without incurring any cost penalty.
Refunds for cancellations received after 19 September 2026 will only be made in exceptional circumstances.
The host reserves final decision on a case-by-case basis for granting a cancellation in extenuating circumstances. The Congress Organisers must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers of registrations.
The host is not liable to you for any non-attendance for any reason. If you are unable to attend the event.
In the event of a postponement, all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new Congress dates. All components of your registration including accommodation bookings, Social Functions will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the Congress Organisers to request a transfer of your registration to a colleague at no cost, or request a cancellation and refund which will incur a $150 administration fee up until the Registration Cancellation Deadline.
In the event of the cancellation of the Congress, all registrations and associated components of attendance will be cancelled and amounts refunded in full.

Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The Congress does not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft or damage to belongings.
All best endeavours will be made to present the program as published on the website. The Congress and its agents reserve the right to alter without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating to the meeting, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The host and the Congress Organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the host and the Congress Organisers do not accept responsibility for the loss of monies caused by delays.
Proof of AASW Membership is required during the online registration process in order to be eligible for the AASW member fee. Please have your AASW Membership Number available to complete your registration.
The Student registration fee is category is open to both Australian and international full time social work students. Australian students need to be enrolled in a Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work. International students need to be enrolled in a course comparable to an Australian Bachelor or a Master of Social Work.
Please note that PhD students are not eligible for this fee category. To register under the student category, attendees will be required to upload a copy of their student ID for verification purposes.
If you provide false information, you will be required to pay the difference between what you register for, and your correct membership category registration cost, or otherwise your registration will be cancelled.
The Low Resource Country fee is available to delegates whose country of residence or employment is classified as Low or Lower-Middle Income Country under the World Bank. Please refer to the list of Low Resource Countries (LRC) to determine your eligibility to register at the registration rate.
Proof of AASW Membership is required during the online registration process. Please have your AASW Membership Number available to complete your registration.
Bring your colleagues and save with a group discount. For groups of more than ten delegates, please contact the AASW Events Team at info.congress@aasw.asn.au for a further discount.
The official language of the Congress is English.
Note participants may be photographed or filmed at any time. By attending, you consent to the use, publication, or reproduction of your image or recording in any form of communication material used to promote the event and report on its events through publications and resource materials. If you do not wish to have your image photographed or filmed, please contact the organisers in advance or onsite to advise of your preference.
